Call for Artists: Enter the Northern Beauty Online Juried Art Exhibition
Are you a Canadian artist inspired by the northern landscape? Northern Beauty is an online juried art exhibition open to Canadian artists aged 18 and over. We invite you to submit original artworks that celebrate the light, life, and landscapes of the North.
This national call is an opportunity to share your creative vision with a wider audience. Selected works will be featured in a professionally curated online exhibition from August 1 to 31, 2025, giving artists across Canada a platform for visibility and connection.

Eligibility:
• Open to Canadian citizens or permanent residents aged 18 and older
• Artists must currently reside in Canada
• All submitted work must be original and created by the submitting artist
• Works may be representational or abstract but must reflect the exhibition theme of Northern Beauty
Theme: "Northern Beauty"
From boreal forests and snowy expanses to luminous skies and vibrant seasonal changes, the North offers endless inspiration. We invite interpretations that evoke the spirit of the North — in its majesty, its intimacy, its stillness, or its energy. Your work may reflect place, memory, or personal experience with the northern environment or northern identity.

About the Exhibition:
Northern Beauty is an independent initiative created to support and celebrate the creativity of Canadian artists. This exhibition is entirely online, making it accessible to artists and viewers across the country. It is juried by Remarque Art Consulting.

SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS:

All artwork must be original. No AI-generated work, no work created in workshops, no use of stock photography—only your own reference material or plein air work.
Artwork must be for sale. Shipping is the responsibility of the artist. 25% commission will be deducted from the proceeds of sale and paid after confirmation of delivery to the purchaser.
Accepted media: all 2D visual media (e.g., oil, acrylic, pastel, watercolour, mixed media, etc.)
Fees (non-refundable): $25 CAD first image, $10 each additional image, maximum 3 images per artist.

TERMS & CONDITIONS
Eligibility: you must be a Canadian resident/citizen and 18 years of age or older to participate.
ARTWORK REQUIREMENTS:
• all submitted work must be original, created from your own reference material.
• No AI-generated images, workshop pieces, or work created under instruction will be accepted.
• All artwork must be for sale.
• Artists are responsible for shipping sold artwork, and obtaining a proof of delivery.
• Hunter Guise Creative Group will retain a 25% commission on each sale; the remaining balance will be paid to the artist on proof of delivery to buyer.
ENTRY FEES: Submission fees are non-refundable and must be paid at the time of submission.
• Fees: $25 CAD for the 1st image, $10 each additional image, maximum of 3 per artist.
• Entries without payment will not be reviewed.
JURYING PROCESS: Juror(s) decisions are final. Submissions will be evaluated based on overall artistic merit, originality, emotional impact, and how well the piece reflects the Northern Beauty theme. Additional criteria may apply for our memorial awards. We reserve the right not to award all prizes if the juror(s) determine the submissions do not meet the standard.
SUBMISSION, NOTIFICATION and EXHIBITION: Submissions open May 1, 2025 and close June 30, 2025. Notification of results will be sent via email by July 15, 2025. The exhibition will run online from Aug 1-31, 2025. Selected artists will have their work displayed from Aug 1-31, 2025.
COPYRIGHT & PROMOTION: Artists retain full copyright of their work. By submitting, you grant Hunter Guise Creative Group the non-exclusive right to display your artwork image(s) on Hunter Guise Creative Group and ArtCall websites and social media platforms for the purpose of promoting this and future exhibitions.
DISQUALIFICATION: The Hunter Guise Creative Group reserves the right to disqualify any entries that do not follow the guidelines or contain misleading, plagiarized, or inappropriate content.
EMAIL PERMISSION: By submitting your image and filling out the submission form, you agree to the use of your email address by Hunter Guise Creative Group (Hunter Guise Creative) for the purposes of notifying you of exhibition results, and periodic newsletters and email promotions. These emails may originate from Hunter Guise Creative Group's Artist Websites account or their Hunter Guise Gallery account. You may unsubscribe at any time.
